Why a link rather than an email to get a post approved.

Email is free and everyone has it. That is also why your approvals take six days. Here is what email cannot do, and what a link does.

Six days of emails, or thirty-two minutes.

The same post, the same client, the same word to change. Watch what you get back.

J0Email sent with 3 attachments: post_v1.docx, final_visual.jpg, final_visual_2.jpg.
J1"Which visual is the right one? And how does it look on mobile?"
J2Follow-up. No reply, the client is traveling.
J4"OK but we say reservations, not pre-orders." New .docx.
J5"Is it approved?" "Yes, yes." Which of the two files?
J6Published. With the old visual.

14:02Link sent. The client sees the LinkedIn, Instagram, X rendering, mobile and desktop.
14:09Opened on the phone, on the train.
14:11Comment on the word "pre-orders": "we say reservations".
14:26Version 2 saved. The client sees what changed, highlighted.
14:34Approved by Marie. Dated, signed, attached to version 2. Publishing Thursday 9am.

Typical scenario, not a statistic: this shows the mechanism. Yours will show up in your dashboard, from the first link.

What email cannot do.

Show the rendering

An attachment is not a post. The client sees neither the "see more" cut-off, nor the image cropping, nor the mobile rendering. They approve blind, and discover the published result.

Keep a single version

post_v2_FINAL.docx, post_v2_FINAL(2).docx. Which one does the client's "yes yes" refer to? Nobody knows. A link is one version — the one they saw, with its number.

Prove it

An email gets lost, deleted, contradicted. An approval that is dated, signed with a first name, attached to the version and filed with the invoice: “I never approved that” ends before it starts.

Follow up without annoying

Your third follow-up is your client relationship wearing thin. A link follows up once, automatically, politely, and you write nothing.

Read on the train

An email with three attachments waits for the office. A link opens on the phone, is approved in one gesture, between two meetings.

Stay confidential

A forwarded email is a draft going around. A link expires, can be revoked, can be password-protected, and is never indexed.

"My client will never click a link."

It is the objection we hear most. Two answers. First: they already click links all day; yours carries your logo and asks for one gesture. Second: they have nothing to install, no account to create, and we ask for their first name after they approve, never before. If they really will not, you keep the email: Pinpost gives you the content ready to send, and the approval PDF for the rest.
